Matcha Marble Cake

140g butter
2 eggs
120g sugar
120g flour
60g ground almond
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp Matcha (green tea powder)
2 tbsp boiled water



Preheat the oven to 180 C

Mix Matcha to boiled water until well blended.

Mix the flour, powdered almond, and baking powder.
In a large bowl, whisk the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
Add the eggs gradually and mix well.

Add the flour mixture and stir lightly with a spatula.

Place 1/3 of the batter into a separate bowl. Add Matcha, and mix well.
Add the Matcha batter into the plain dough and swirl gently with spatula to create a marble effect.

Pour mixture into cake pan. Gently tap pan on countertop to remove any air bubbles.

Bake for 40 minutes.
