Nigella's Chocolate Orange Cake


Nigella's Chocolate Orange Cake

375g satsumas
6 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
200g ground almonds
250g sugar
50g cocoa

Put the whole oranges in a pan with some water, bring to the boil and cook for 2 hours or until soft.
Drain, remove pips and then pulp everything in a food processor.

Add the rest of the other ingredients into the processor and process until you have a cohesive cake mixture.

Pour into a prepared cake tin and bake in a 180 C oven for about 1 hour.
