Kerala Chicken Curry

1 kg chicken pieces
1 large onion, chopped
2 large tomatoes, chopped
3 tsp Coriander powder
1 1/2 tsp Chillie powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
3/4 tsp Garam masala powder
1 cup Coconut milk
2 tsp Ginger paste
2 tsp Garlic paste
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Heat oil in a pan. Saute the onions, till they become transparent. Add ginger and garlic paste.

Add tomato and simmer for another 2 minutes.
Add the coriander powder, chillie powder, garam masala powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Add in some water and simmer until spices well cooked, this will take about 15 minutes.

Add the chicken pieces and mix it well with the masala.

Allow it to cook on a medium flame for about 45 mins. Once the chicken is cooked and the gravy is thickened, add the coconut milk.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

After making dolmades, I was left with massive amount of grape leaves....
I thought I would make them into Masak Lemak Tempoyak. What do I got to loose, they going to be compost, anyway.
And the result....SUCCESS!! So, anyone out there looking for an alternative to daun pucuk ubi, here's one for you...provided that you must first throughly rinse off the saltiness from the leaves.
Bonne chance!!
