Bintang Timur terbit pagi
Jika tidak melarat panjang
Ada umur ketemu lagi

A Brand New Adventure....

Day One (Thursday, July 9th) - House Hunting

Our day started very, very, very early.....I'm NOT a morning person and no amount of coffee can fully wake me. The flight took us an hour.... north......

We were met at the airport by Helle, our bubbly relocation settling-in service counsellor, who took us on a whirlwind tour of the city and a whole-day search for our temporary accommodation in the city that will be our next home......

Finally, we settled for this one, for its close proximity to Elsa's new school, which is about 10 minutes hop, skip and walk away......
and, more importantly, an even closer bagel shop for that all-important quick nip when I don't feel like cooking....
We will be staying in this apartment for the next few months until a more permanent home can be found.

After a busy day, we looked forward to a restful evening and an early night at the hotel

Oh, by the way.....have I mentioned where our next destination will be?

Day Two and Three (Friday, July 10th and Saturday, July 11th) - The City

Day Four (Sunday, July 12th) - Flying back to the Netherlands.

A lot of unfinished business needed to be seen to.......things to pack.....and missing my friends already.....

Dearest Aliciana, Khautze, Lily, Patricia, Roseline, Roselyn and Suan (in alphabetical order.....)

Someday many years from now
We'll sit beside the candles glow
Exchanging tales about our past
And laughing as the memories flow
And when that distant day arrives
I know it will be understood
That friendship is the key to life
And we were friends......
......and it was good.
